MINOR COUNTIES CRICKET Final balanced on Sharp edge

Cornwall Cricket logoCricket's Minor Counties Championship Final is finely balanced going into the third day at Truro CC.

Cornwall did well with the ball yesterday to restrict Buckinghamshire to 205-9 off their 90 overs and gain a first innings lead of 52 runs.

Truro's Cornwall captain Tom Sharp bowled a remarkable 38 over unchanged spell to take five for 76 and fellow spinner Shakil Ahmed took three for 73 from 35 overs.

A couple of late wickets last night meant Cornwall are 59-4 in their second innings, a lead of 111 runs with six wickets remaining.

• Today's play at Boscawen Park gets underway at the earlier time of 1000, on a day the title might well be decided.
