The Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League top three - Truro, Paul and Callington - all won yesterday to extend their advantage.
Truro triumphed in quick time at home to Troon, who were bowled out for 81 with Alex Taylor taking five for 27. Truro replied with 84 for 2.
Paul had to dig deep to win at St Austell by three wickets. St Austell made 204-9 with Taylor Williams making 98. Paul made 208-7 with Kelvin Snell 58 not out.
Callington beat Grampound Road by 104 runs, clinching victory off the fourth ball of the last over. Jake Libby made 83 in Callington’s 260-8 with Chris Hunkin taking 5 for 51. Grampound Road were all out for 156.
Gary Thomas scored 79 as St Just (224) drew with Werrington (138-8).
Antony Angove was unbeaten on 78 as Falmouth (132-4) beat Newquay (129) by 6 wickets.
Promotion bound County Division 1 leaders Camborne (281-5) made it 14 wins in a row by beating visiting Truro seconds (135).
