North Devon are due to begin their title defence at last season’s runners-up Sidmouth while newly promoted A Division champions Torquay are at home to Plymouth, who finished sixth in the top 10 last summer.

Cornwall Cricket badgeThe 2012 Cornwall Cricket League season is set to start tomorrow with 75 matches across the region, weather-permitting.

Those fixtures are topped by the opening ECB Premier League 50-over cup ties featuring holders Callington v last season's finalists Werrington, Falmouth v Camborne, St Just v Troon and Truro v Grampound Road.

Cornwall and Devon cricketers suffered a frustrating start to their Minor Counties season thanks to the April showers.

Cornwall's MCCA Trophy group one opener against Oxfordshire was abandoned yesterday without a ball bowled at St Austell as the outfield was unplayable following heavy overnight rain.

gloucestershire cricket club crestGloucestershire Cricket begin their summer campaign warm-up with a pre-season friendly against Cardiff University at the County Ground, Bristol on March 21 and 22 (1100 start).

Gloucestershire then host Glamorgan in a 40-over one-day contest on Friday March 23 (1100). Entrance to the ground - on all three days - is free.
