Matt Robins made 63 not out as Callington posted 189 for 9. Truro crashed to 88 all out with Sanjaya Rajapakse taking 5 for 25.

SAINTS ALIVE! KIWI HAT-TRICK IN CUP WIN

cornwall cricket crest Holders St Just are through to this year’s Vinter Cup Final following a 66-run win over Helston at Hayle CC last night.

 

St Just made 147-5 with Gary Thomas hitting 41. Helston were in trouble from the start with Kiwi seamer Adam Williams taking 6 for 9 including a hat-trick. They recovered to 81 all out in the last over.

NOON START FOR CORNWALL CRICKETERS

cornwall cricket logo Two of tomorrow’s top ECB Cornwall Premier League games have early start times to allow Cornwall players extra time to travel to Henley for Cornwall’s Minor Counties Championship opener, which starts on Sunday.

 

Troon v leaders Truro and Grampound Road v Callington are set to begin at noon, an hour earlier than the usual 1300 start.
