Argyle boss Adams hoping for rub of the green

Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams looking ahead Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams is hoping his promoted League One side get the rub of the green against Blackpool tonight at Home Park (1945).

The Pilgrims’ proud Scottish manager watched his team boss MK Dons despite losing 1-0 and playing with 10 men following Graham Carey’s 33rd minute disputed dismissal.

Adams admits: “We haven’t taken chances when they have come along but we have shown that we can compete at this level.

“We make MK Dons look an ordinary side and we’ve only got 10 players so that’s got to be something that we take a lot of heart from.

“We’ve had a number of situations go against us. We are just not getting the breaks at this moment in time.

“I work with the players day in, day out, and know their attitude and application is fantastic.

“We just need to get that break when it comes along.

“Now we have to pick ourselves up and get ready for Tuesday night against Blackpool and hopefully get some points on the board then.”

Graham Carey will be suspended for three matches, starting tonight after an unsuccessful appeal to the Football Association to have the playmaker's dismissal overturned.
