Cornwall men's county golf non-playing captain Richard SimmonsSouth West amateur golf champion Tom Fox will be to the fore as Cornwall bid to win the men’s English County Finals for the first time.

The 23-year-old China Fleet Golf & Country club ace will be revisiting familiar, winning ground over the Northam Burrows links at Royal North Devon Golf Club this weekend.

2014 CORNWALL WINTER GOLF SERIES team line-ups

Cornwall Golf Development officer Simon Wood has confirmed the two team line-ups for next month’s end of 2014 Cornwall Winter Golf Series friendly between amateur and professional competitiors.

Series winner Josh Greenaway heads up the amateur side as they face the Duchy-based pros at West Cornwall on Sunday April 6.

Cornwall Ladies have selected a side to play Staffordshire on Saturday March 31 in a traditional pre-season fixture at Trevose Golf & Country Club.

The annual friendly was instigated by 1984 Staffordshire captain Barbara Etherington, whose parents lived in Trevose.
