St Mellion touring professional James Ruth maintained his opening day three stroke-lead to win the Altorreal Futures Open in Spain today with an eye catching 12 under par 204 total.
The 26-year-old led the 54-hole Hi5 Pro Tour tournament from start to finish after opening with a scorching eight under 64.
The Plymouth born professional followed up with a four under 68 to ensure a three shot overnight lead going into today’s third and final round in Murcia.
Ruth remained ahead of the chasing pack with a solid regulation round, eventually finishing three shots ahead of runner-up Daniel Lokke of Denmark.
South Devon based Scott Drummond - who has not played competitively for over a month - finished the tournament tied 13th on two under 214 following rounds of 70, 71 and 73.
