BUCS GOLF University of Exeter in match play final

Top Exeter student golfers compete in the British Universities & Colleges Sport team match play final against University of Central Lancashire today.
The final takes placed over the championship links at Formby Golf Club, on the Lancashire coast.
The University of Exeter mixed team have already won the BUCS Premier South League and are ranked number one in the UK.
This year is the first time since 2005 that Exeter has been in the national team final.
University of Exeter Golf first team golf captain Laurie Potter said: "April was a busy month for students with exams on the near horizon but with the BUCS individual finals last week and Exeter reaching the knockout team final for the first time in seven years it's been no time to rest on our laurels.
"Preparation has been going well. Several of our players represented their county sides over the Easter holidays in the opening matches of the season and others have been playing in various events around the UK so we're all in good shape."
University of Exeter High Performance golf manager Craig Townsend said: "To reach this final is an incredible achievement for the club and shows the high calibre of the squad.
"The BUCS Team Match Play final is a huge challenge, possibly the biggest challenge that many of the players will have faced.
"It will take a great deal of determination and some excellent golf, but I am confident that the team have a clear focused mind set and more than enough skill to bring away a good result."
Third year exercise and sports science student Potter – Gloucestershire's 2012 amateur champion - admits: "We know it's not going to be easy and undoubtedly our toughest match of the year against a side who are unbeaten all season but with the squad going from strength to strength I'm feeling confident that we can bring some silverware back to Exeter."
