Devon teenagers Harrison Greenberry and Sam Edwards are through to the 85th Boys Amateur Championship fourth round (matchplay) at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club in Somerset.

 

Exeter’s Greenberry, 17, beat Denmark’s Peter Baek 3&2 while Bigbury’s Edwards beat Grant Forrest of Craigielaw 5&4 this morning and now play again this afternoon for a coveted place in the quarter finals.

GOLF: GREENBERRY WINS BRITISH BOYS FINAL

exeter golf & country club teenage ace harrison greenberry, image courtesy tom ward, tomwardsport.com Exeter’s Harrison Greenberry won the 85th Boys’ Amateur Championship after beating Patrick Kelly in the final at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club in Somerset.

Greenberry - who led throughout - was three up heading to the 30th hole before requiring an up-and-down par for victory on the 37th hole after England Boys international Kelly staged a late fightback.
