HOLDERS TEIGN IN WAY OF ISCA DREAM

england hockey shieldIsca seconds bid to complete a dream end of season double when they meet holders Teign in the Devon Women’s Hockey Cup final at University of Exeter on Saturday at 1.00pm.

 

Having already clinched the West Clubs Women’s League Premier Two title, and promotion to the regional top flight, Isca now bid to beat Dawlish-based Teign, seeking a hat-trick of county cup final successes having finished South Division runners-up.

 

The showcase final will be umpired by Mike Daniel and Martyn Harvey.

 

Exeter & Culm Vale Hornets 2 meet Kingsbridge & Salcombe in a repeat of last season’s Devon Women’s Trophy final, at 11.30, on the sand-based pitch at University of Exeter.

 

Kingsbridge & Salcombe are hoping to complete a Trophy treble after winning the competition in the past two seasons, beating Hornets 5-0 in last year’s final.

 

ECV Hornets 2 finished runners-up in Sedgemoor Two, clinching promotion, while K&S were sixth in Trelawney One.

Sue Ansley and Alison Franklin are set to umpire.
