SW HOCKEY round 15 Premiership preview

Second placed Firebrands, who have started 2016 with back to back wins, warm up for next week’s pivotal top of the table derby at Bristol Uni with a home game against University of Exeter A at Clifton College (1400).

Fresh from one cross-city derby success, 4-1 at Whitchurch, third placed Cardiff & Met A visit Cardiff University (1330) while freescoring fourth placed Taunton Vale host second from bottom Whitchurch (1330).

Player-coach Matt Plimmer’s Robinsons seek a return to top four form against Team Bath Buccaneers A at Badminton School (1330).

Both sides are seeking to bounce back from round 14 defeats, Robbies 5-1 at Taunton, Buccs 0-2 to Plymouth Marjon.

Plymouth coach Jamie Oxley has set his side a top four finish target following their win in Bath ahead of a 1230 start at home to ninth placed Truro, beaten 3-1 by Brands in Cornwall last Saturday.
