Buckle was presented with his award by South Devon-based snooker legend and six-times world champion Ray Reardon at United's Seale Hayne training ground base in the presence of Gulls chairman Simon Baker.

Britain’s women took silver in the team competition at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships in China today.
 
Beijing 2008 Olympic silver medallist Heather Fell - from Tavistock, Devon - was the highest placed British finisher in the individual competition in eighth.

Paul have won the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League title for the first time following a four-wicket, final day win at defending champions St Just on Saturday.

The new champions got the bonus point they required to clinch the title inside the first hour of their top of the table clash at Cape Cornwall.
