Thousands of sports-supporting students are expected to attend tonight’s British Universities & Colleges Sport Premier South A men’s varsity rugby clash between University of Exeter and University of Bath’s first XVs at Exeter Chiefs’ state-of-the-art Sandy Park (1945).
Exeter are second in the table and on a four-match winning streak heading into their last BUCS league game against fourth placed Bath, beaten 12-10 at Swansea last time out.
Exeter beat University West of England Hartpury 34-10 and will be seeking to end the league term on a high heading into the knockout championship stage of the season.
• Plymouth rugby varsity – between UCP Marjon and Plymouth University - is next Monday at Plymouth Albion RFC (womens ko 1600, men's 1945).
• A reminder that tonight’s Somerset Cup clash between North Petherton RFC and Wellington RFC has been postponed because the Beggars Brook pitch is waterlogged.
• Weather-permitting the Royal Navy Veterans XV warm-up for their Inter Services campaign with a match against Devonport Services Veterans at the Rectory, Plymouth tonight (1900).
