Exeter Chiefs international centres Henry Slade and Michele Campagnaro along with tight-head prop Tomas Francis are on 6 Nations duty and miss today’s home Premiership clash against Newcastle Falcons (1500).
Fellow international Jack Nowell remains unavailable due to England commitments, while leading points-scorer Gareth Steenson (hamstring) is ruled out.
Teignmouth rugby product and England U20s international Joe Simmonds is set to make his first Premiership start, at fly half, in Steenson's enforced absence.
