Hooker Penman pens Albion deal

Plymouth Albion RFC crestGraham Dawe's Plymouth Albion RFC have signed hooker James Penman ahead of the 2015-16 National League 1 campaign.

New Zealand born Penman, 26, played in Plymouth's last three Championship matches after joining Albion on loan from Cambridge RFC at the tailend of last season.

Jones switches codes to join Exeter Chiefs

exeter chiefs logoExeter Chiefs have signed centre/loose forward Josh Jones on a two-year deal from Super League Rugby League side St Helens.
 
Preston-born Jones, 22, becomes Rob Baxter’s eighth signing of a busy summer of recruitment at Devon's ambitious Aviva Premiership club.
 
Although Jones has spent much of playing career with the Saints, did have a brief flirtation with the 15-man game during his school days, starting out with his hometown club, Preston Grasshoppers.
 
Baxter said: "He will almost certainly be playing in midfield and it will interesting to see how his attacking and defensive qualities translate to union."
