WALES ace James winging to Chiefs from Cardiff Blues

exeter chiefs rugby logoExeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has made his first signing for next season with the capture of Wales international wing Tom James from the Cardiff Blues.

The highly rated 25-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the ambitious Aviva Premiership club and is set to team up with Chiefs after a successful seven-year stint with the Welsh region.

With 98 caps Cork-born Stringer, 35, is the Ireland's most-capped scrum-half as well as making 232 appearances for Munster.

Number 8 Duncan, 22, and flanker Hambly, 25, will train with the Pirates one day a week and remain available on loan to the promotion-chasing Reds for the rest of the season.

Kilmartin, 19, is an Old Millfieldian like flanker Joe Buckle who is similarly dual-registered and has already made two appearances for Pirates.

Exeter-born hooker Jack Yeandle is the latest Chief to head west to the Penzance-based Pirates, where he will team up with Exeter clubmates Dave Ewers, Sam Hill and Jack Nowell.
