UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders became the first team to book their spot in the BBL Cup semi-finals after Paul Williams returned to haunt former club Sheffield.

Williams posted a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds as well as grabbing the game winning score in the dying seconds to condemn his ex-employers to a heart breaking BBL Cup quarter-final KO.

Raiders looked to have put themselves out of sight with a terrific 20-6 run either side of the third and fourth quarter which left the home team reeling and down by as many as 15 points.

Sharks came roaring back led by Nate Reinking and tied the game up at 83-83 with 13 seconds left but Williams was not to be denied.

Also central to the success was Jeremy Bell who claimed a game high 29 points.

Raiders will now meet the winner of Mersey Tigers and Worcester Wolves in the last four of the competition.
