airwaves plymouth raiders logoAirwaves Plymouth Raiders officials are anticipating a 1,400 Pavilions home court sell-out when Gary Stronach's aces tip off their home BBL programme against Scottish Rocks today (1600) looking to build on last night's 86-82 win at PAWS London Capital.

Raiders chief executive Dave Briggs urged the club's army of supporters to "arrive early" to ensure they purchase the hottest sports ticket in town.

Briggs said: "We have given the game massive city-wide promotion and also put out special leaflets to four schools and so anticipate a sell-out.

"With that in mind we are asking people to arrive early if they want to make sure they get a seat."

Raiders kept up the pressure on leaders Newcastle Eagles thanks to last night's victory in the capital.

A 20-6 Raiders burst in the third quarter took the score to 65-56 and the visitors made sure of the victory from the free-throw line.

Drew Lasker top scored with 21 points, Terrence Durham scored 19 and Gaylon Moore 18.

Quarter-by-quarter (Capital score first): 28-23, 45-40, 63-67, 82-86.
