NETBALL Dragons meet Bath in Superleague showdown

celtic dragons logoDerby rivals Celtic Dragons and Team Bath meet in today's Superleague final at the University of Worcester Arena (1900).

Both sides won their home semi-finals, Team Bath triumphing 53-43 against 2012 champions Manchester Thunder on Sunday while Cardiff-based Dragons stormed past Surrey Storm 65-52 on Monday.

SUPERLEAGUE 2013 starts at Team Bath v Celtic Dragons

team bath logoAsha Francis will again skipper Team Bath as the 2013 Netball Superleague season starts tonight with a top opening fixture against Cardiff-based Celtic Dragons at the University of Bath Sports Training Village (2000).

Singapore international Francis and Bath head into Superleague 2013 on a high after winning the pre-season FastNet Grand Prix tournament last month.

Team Bath sports logoTeam Bath are through to Showdown Weekend – the climax of this season’s Fiat Netball Super League – after beating Celtic Dragons 52-50 in last night's play-off at University of Bath Sports Training Village.

Roared on by their supporters the home team made a stunning start to the must-win fixture, leading 6-0 before closing out the opening quarter 16-9.

The University of Bath team beat Leeds Met Carnegie 72-60 in last night’s BUCS championship final in Sheffield.
