Devon teenage squash sensation Tory Temple-Murray is through to today's Dutch Junior Open 2011 Under 17 girls championship semi finals at the Frans Otten Stadium in Amsterdam.

Temple-Murray beat Hong Kong's Ka Hei Chu 13-11 11-3 12-10 this morning to set up an early afternoon semi final showdown with top seed Haidi Lala of Egypt.

The English Junior U17 champion - seeded four - was extended by Wales' Jenny Haley 11-4 13-11 9-11 9-11 11-9 last night in round two.

The Devonian accounted for compatriot Siobhan Baxter 11-4 11-3 11-1 in 25 minutes and in round one.

Temple-Murray, who attends King’s School, Ottery St Mary, has already made her Premier Squash League bow with Exeter Diamonds and is set to compete in the World Junior Championships in America later this month.

Temple-Murray, 16, has already proved her prowess on the international squash court having won through to the European Junior Under 19 Championship quarter-finals in Switzerland in May.

The Devon teenager won the national U-17 title in March after rallying from a game down to beat top seed Chloe Pearson 9-11, 12-10, 12-10, 11-5.

Exeter Diamonds are sponsored by Michael Spiers exclusive jewellers.
