banner-add-marjonPlymouth Marjon University continues to show it is serious about sport and journalism by working in partnership with South West Sports News and Plymouth Sports News.

Plymouth Marjon University and South West Sports News are both based in Plymouth and have long-standing links.

SWSN founding editor Ross Reid has been a sports club member at the Marjon since he can remember and still continues to make regular visits to the campus, either covering sport, watching his family play sport or taking part.

Reid is delighted links with the go-ahead University have been strengthened over the past decade and been honoured to attend end of season sports awards nights as a guest of the university and more recently the 2019 opening of the state of the art Marjon Workshop for Mike Baker's media students.

Plymouth Marjon University is one of the region's educational and sporting jewels, boasting a vibrant, community ethos. 

The Ghana Olympic team were based at Marjon ahead of competing in London 2012. 

The aim of hosting national league hockey at the university in the not-too-distant future has been boosted by the provision of two purpose-built pitches, used solely for the increasingly popular team sport by the city's expanding hockey community.
