GAME ON or off? Tweet @swsportsnews

Here at South West Sports News we do our utmost to freely promote sports teams from the region, South West England and South Wales.

We don't pretend to do much more than that really. It's quite simple.Plymouth Parkway 19 Apr

We do our best at passing on information about your sports club - we like to call them community sports hubs - using this website and our social media outlets, notably twitter, where we are followed by hundreds of sports clubs as well as colleges, schools and university teams.

This exercise has proved extremely successful over the past 11½ years.

We realise many clubs are like us: they do their best with the resources available.

One of the resources we rely on? Our amazing followers on twitter.

We call them "the team".

Without the team - our playmakers - we cannot pass on the latest information and updates.

This weekend, as last, the weather is set to take its toll on outdoor sports.

We are quite happy to pass on to our 11,000+ followers - sports fans and supporters all - your game is on or off but can do neither if you don't let us know.

The way we report on sport has changed, the way news is disseminated has changed.

Twitter is a free tool that enables us to impart information at lightning speed.

So...

If you want to pass on if your match is subject to a pitch inspection, on or off, or if your sports event has been adversely affected by the weather let us know by tweeting @swsportsnews and - as we have done for the past decade - we will pass it on...

It's quite simply what we do.
