Google Analytics

When you opt in on the live website, Google Analytics helps the sports desk understand readership. The Google tag is not loaded before consent. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. See Google’s privacy policy.

Twitter / X and Elfsight

Local audience and advertising totals

The live website records daily counts of page views, sport and venue views, and advert views and clicks. These counters do not set a tracking cookie, create a visitor identifier or store IP addresses. A page view is not a unique visitor. Basic filtering excludes recognisable automated browsers and signed-in staff. Preview visits are excluded.

Essential storage and security

A session cookie is used when a manager signs in, and browser storage remembers privacy choices. Login protection temporarily stores a keyed hash for rate limiting. Hosting may keep separate security and access logs. Contact the sports desk for details of hosting retention and any privacy request.
