Nowell, Slade and Cowan-Dickie commit to Chiefs

England internationals Luke Cowan-Dickie, Jack Nowell - from Cornwall - and Devon's Henry Slade have all put pen to paper on two-year deals that will keep them at Sandy Park until the end of the 2020/2021 season.

Combination Finals night at Bath Rugby’s Recreation Ground has been rescheduled Wednesday April 25 following “adverse weather conditions over the last few days”.

The finals – Chippenham RFC vs Keynsham RFC in the cup and Corsham RFC vs Stothert & Pitt RFC in the vase – were originally scheduled to take place on April 11.

RUGBY ROUND-UP Exeter surge clear at summit

Defending champions Exeter Chiefs surged seven points clear of Wasps at the Premiership summit following a 24-14 top of the table win over play-off rivals Saracens at Sandy Park.

Three first half penalties from fly half Joe Simmonds and a try from full back Phil Dollman gave the hosts a slender 14-12 half time advantage as the visitors countered with tries from Schalk Brits and Ben Earl, converted by Ben Spencer.

ENGLAND RUGBY first call up for Devon's Simmonds

england rugby logoExeter Chiefs’ Sam Simmonds has had his first call up into the England Rugby squad ahead of next month’s autumn internationals series.

The 22-year-old Torquay-born back row forward from Teignmouth has made 27 Exeter first team appearances, scoring 13 tries and was a key member of the Chiefs' Premiership title winning side earlier this year.
