Argyle boss Steven Schumacher admits last night's thrilling EFL Cup tie against Premier League Crystal Palace will give him a pleasant selection headache ahead of Saturday's home Championship game against Blackburn Rovers.

Despite a 4-2 defeat, an upbeat Schumacher said: "I hoped it would have a different outcome. We really enjoyed the whole night to be honest.

Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher admitted his delight as the greens beat resilient Burton Albion 1-0 to clinch automatic promotion in front of their home fans in a sold out crowd of 16,634.

Schumacher said: “I am overjoyed. It’s been an amazing season, an amazing campaign and to finish it off here on a sunny day in Devon – when the sun’s not been out for weeks – in front of our home fans it’s just amazing.”

Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher was delighted with his “refreshed” side as they beat Leyton Orient 2-0 to win through the EFL Cup second round.
