WOMENS HOCKEY Welsh squad head for Euros

Hockey wales redWales are set to compete in the Europeans II Women’s Hockey Championship in competition with Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, France, Austria, Lithuania and Slovakia.  

Sarah Jones and Izzie Howell have recently been appointed vice-captains of the squad supporting Beth Bingham as captain.

Hockey wales redHockey Wales is thrilled to announce the 38 athletes chosen to represent Wales at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games this summer.

The 18-player men and women’s squads include an exciting mix of experienced players and upcoming stars, including Olympic medallists, Gold-Coast and Glasgow Commonwealth athletes, 12 debutants, and three uncapped players.

NORTH SOMERSET clinch title with only 100% record

North Somerset men's first team topped Davis Wood Hockey League West Central 1 as champions with a 100 per cent 22-match winning record.

After clickety-clicking up 66 points, the Portishead-based side – who play home matches and train at Gordano School – are celebrating a memorable year for the club.
