Hockey wales redWales are set to compete in the Europeans II Women’s Hockey Championship in competition with Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, France, Austria, Lithuania and Slovakia.  

Sarah Jones and Izzie Howell have recently been appointed vice-captains of the squad supporting Beth Bingham as captain.

North Somerset men's first team topped Davis Wood Hockey League West Central 1 as champions with a 100 per cent 22-match winning record.

After clickety-clicking up 66 points, the Portishead-based side – who play home matches and train at Gordano School – are celebrating a memorable year for the club.
