2013 Channel League golf champions Cornwall signalled their intent by posting a 13-2 win over the Royal Navy in their annual pre-season friendly at Tehidy Park, Camborne.

China Fleet ace Tom Fox was on top form for Cornwall, combining with Bude and North Cornwall’s Adam Curtis to win in the foursomes and even more handsomely in the afternoon singles as the host county built on a mid-match 4-1 lead.

AMATEUR GOLF 2012 Channel League latest

Devon remain on course to claim the men’s regional amateur 2012 Channel League Golf championship despite away wins for their title rivals yesterday.

Second placed Somerset pipped Glamorgan 8-7 at Southerdown GC while Cornwall soared to third spot with a 9-6 win over Gloucestershire at Henbury GC.
