The 22-year-old is no stranger to National Counties cricket having played for Herefordshire from 2018 to last season, a stint that helped him to secure a contract with Northamptonshire after he was released from Gloucestershire’s academy.

While Devon will be making their first-ever visit to Sandwell Park, Buckinghamshire were there only six weeks ago when they beat hosts Staffordshire by eight wickets on their way to winning Eastern Division One and booking their place in the four-day final.

Both Western Division One matches due to start today will determine who finishes top and who is relegated. 

Oxfordshire, who host Cheshire at Banbury, and Devon, who entertain Herefordshire at Sidmouth, both go into the final round of divisional matches with the chance of overtaking Berkshire, who have a seven points lead but have completed their four-match programme.
