A squad of 39 players assembled at the Honda England Rugby Performance Centre, Pennyhill Park, this evening to continue preparations for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Ollie Chessum (Leicester Tigers), Ollie Lawrence (Bath Rugby), Mako Vunipola (Saracens), Billy Vunipola (Saracens), and Jack Walker (Harlequins) will also join up with the squad to continue their rehabilitation.

England men’s U20 head coach Mark Mapletoft has named his team to face Fiji in their second match of the World Rugby U20 Championship, after the side played out a 34-all draw against Ireland U20 to open their tournament in South Africa.  

Finn Carnduff from Leicester Tigers has been named captain for the match, which kicks off at 18:00 BST (19:00 local time) tonight at Danie Craven Stadium, Stellenbosch.

England men’s head coach Steve Borthwick has confirmed his official 33-player squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

Gloucester's Jonny May and Alex Mitchell (Northampton Saints) are included in the squad replacing Jack van Poortvliet (Leicester Tigers) and Anthony Watson.
