Exeter Chiefs newcomer Ruben van Heerden says he cannot wait to get stuck into life at Sandy Park after sealing his move from South African outfit, the Sharks.

The 24-year-old forward is the latest addition brought in by Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, who is looking to bolster his options up front following the departures of fellow locks Jonny Hill, Sean Lonsdale and Sam Skinner.

Premiership pacesetters Exeter Chiefs - who beat Bath 29-10 in front of a 12,800 sold-out Sandy Park to open up a nine-point gap at the summit - have bolstered next season's squad by signing highly-rated Scarlets lock Tom Price.

The 26-year-old is Rob Baxter’s third confirmed new arrival ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, joining Chiefs on a two-year deal.

Wales and British Lions winger Alex Cuthbert is joining Exeter Chiefs from Cardiff Blues.

The 27-year-old back has agreed a three-year deal with the reigning Aviva Premiership champions and will team up with his new club in summer ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Exeter Chiefs have bolstered their ranks ahead of the new season by recruiting former Harlequins forward Stan South. 

The 22-year-old, who can play either at lock or in the back-row, is Rob Baxter’s fourth capture of the close season, joining the likes of Stuart Hogg, Tom Price and Will Witty in making the move to Sandy Park.
