Werrington CC remain top of the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League after beating Newquay CC by four wickets in a remarkable game at the Sports Centre.
Alex Smeeth took 7-26 to skittle the home side out for 40. Werrington lost six wickets in reaching the target.
Truro CC are 15 points behind the leaders after winning by 157 runs at St Just CC. Tom Sharp made 73 in Truro's 257-7 before Kelvin Snell took 5-37 as St Just were bowled out for 97.
St Austell CC’s Kyle van Rooyen took 5-24 to bowl Camborne CC out for 160 before making 38 not out in a four wicket win.
Grampound Road CC made 232-8 at home to Penzance CC with David Hoskings on 73. Penzance (154) remain bottom of the top flight.
There was a close finish at Redruth CC, where the home side beat Falmouth CC by one wicket thanks to an unbeaten 101 from Neil Hornbuckle. Falmouth made 194-7.
County Division One leaders Helston CC (205) remain seven points clear of Callington CC with two games to play after bowling out Ludgvan CC for 85.
