Transfer-listed Nicky Maynard scored Bristol City’s late winner as the Robins beat Millwall 1-0 at Ashton Gate in front of 12,410 last night.
Maynard's close range finish to convert Albert Adomah’s cross in the third minute of stoppage time enables Derek McInnes’ resurgent Robins to hop above the Lions and up to 19th place in the 24-team division.
City’s next match is their FA Cup third round tie at League Two leaders Crawley on Saturday (1500).
McInnes' side have recorded back to back 1-0 wins following last Friday's victory at leaders Southampton.
City have recorded home and away wins over the Saints, and now Millwall. Last night's winner was Maynard's eighth goal of the season.
