Striker Jordan Ewing was also on target as Darren Stewart's Ivies returned to winning ways following their 2-0 home defeat by Bovey Tracey in midweek.
The win means the Premier East leaders have won nine of their first 10 league matches this season and are six points clear at the summit.
Ivybridge made the perfect start with Forward slotting the ball home after only 90 seconds.
It was not until the 65th minute they increased their lead with Forward scoring on the rebound after Fletcher Williams headed against the post following good combination by Lewis Dickson and Ewing.
Forward completed his hat-trick with his sixth goal of the season in the 70th minute from an opening created by Ewing.
Leading scorer Ewing rounded off the win 10 minutes later with his eighth goal of the season from an opportunity created by Williams.
Ivybridge manager Stewart was keen for his side to bounce back following the disappointment of their midweek defeat saying: “We had a fantastic start to the season with eight straight wins so it was important for us to refocus and start again to get another decent set of results. I was pleased with the level of our performance and the result.
“We could have been two or three goals up at half-time and the message at the interval was that we expected Cullompton to come at us in the second half. But we responded by putting the game to bed with three goals in a 15-minute spell.”
Ivybridge take a break from league action next Saturday with an FA Vase second qualifying round tie at Millbrook, who play in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.
Stewart says: “With no match in midweek, we will have the players in for a training session on Wednesday.
“Because of injuries and unavailability, we will have to make a few changes, but it is a great opportunity for our players to be involved in a national competition and we will be giving it our best shot.”
