Devon side Kingsbridge & Salcombe are through to the England Hockey Women’s Trophy quarter finals for the first time.
Cougars qualified for the last eight of the national knockout competition following a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win and a crucial Claire Guard spot flick save in Jersey after their tie finished 2-2 in normal time.
Chloe Harvey and Lou Read scored for Kingsbridge & Salcombe who now host Teddington on Sunday March 5 at Kingsbridge Community College (start time to be confirmed).
University of Plymouth are through to the Devon Womens Cup final following a 2-0 win at Okehampton and goals for Bel Penfound and Alice Williamson.
The students will now meet cross-city rivals Plymouth Marjon 2s who host the finals day at University of St Mark & St John on Saturday April 1.
