There have been a number of Plymouth based clubs – and sportspeople - that have been massive supporters of South West Sports News since inception.
They include many players from Plympton Grammar School Old Boys, who field four teams in the men’s regional Davis Wood Hockey League.
The black and golds’ chairman Steve Wherry and secretary Bruce Danbury – along with committee members like John Wollington - have been pro-active in helping SWSN achieving goals while scoring a fair few themselves.
