Stade Francais beat visiting Worcester Warriors 33-10 on Saturday night to secure home advantage in the last eight.

Exeter won through to the quarter finals after topping pool four following Saturday afternoon’s 31-14 comeback win over another French Top 14 side, USA Perpignan.

Haydn Thomas, Brett Sturgess and James Phillips scored tries for Chiefs, who bounced back from trailing 14-0 to secure a quarter final berth in front of nearly 8,000 at Sandy Park.

Top points-scorer Ignacio Mieres - a former Perpignan player - kicked 14 points as the home side won through to a European cup quarter-final for the first time.

Head coach Rob Baxter: "Our efforts have been rewarded with a great draw against Stade Francais.

"In an ideal world we would liked to have welcomed another big club to Sandy Park but with Wasps winning on Sunday it means we visit Stade, another great challenge.

"Being away to someone like Stade Francais will be another adventure for us and one to relish."

Following Saturday's win Baxter enthused: "We talked about making history when we got promoted and these are the boys writing history for the club in the Premiership. Today we have written another page; we've pushed on and done something nobody else at this club has ever done. Now we have to keep pushing through and enjoying every experience."
