Newly crowned South West 1 West champions Okehampton RFC host Devonport Services RFC in the Devon RFU Senior Shield final at the Showground today (1500ko).Plymouth based Services will aim to cause a Shield shock and overturn the odds after losing 41-7 at home to the league champions last weekend.
Victory at the Rectory enabled Okehampton to top the table on 109 points, three more than Launceston’s self-styled Cornish All Blacks.
CABs now host South West 1 East runners-up Old Centralians RFC – from Gloucester - in next Saturday’s promotion play-off at Polson Bridge.
