ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES latest South West rugby moves

Exeter Chiefs have signed Sydney-born London Welsh RFC forward Mitch Lees for the next two seasons.

The 25-year-old forward is the latest to join Exeter's 2014-15 roster a week after Chiefs confirmed the arrival of prop Tomas Francis from London Scottish RFC.

Lees - who is equally at home in the second or back row - is six foot six tall, almost 120kg, and recognised as a hard running forward with an impressive turn of speed.

Plymouth Albion RFC have signed 21-year-old Cardiff Metropolitan University and England Students centre Ben Axten-Burrett for next season.

However top try scorer Tom Bowen, 21 is teaming up with England Sevens while 21-year-old Devon front row forward Ben Rogers is switching to Albion's Championship rivals Jersey RFC who also announced the signings of homegrown full back Jack Burroughs, Leeds Carnegie prop Sam Lockwood, 26 and dual registered Northampton Saints/Loughborough Students front row forward Danny Herriott for next season.

Loosehead prop Rogers - a student at University of Exeter - joined Albion from Newton Abbot's Devon All Whites two summers ago.

• Barnstaple RFC player-coach Tom Skelding and wing Tom Heard are teaming up with newly promoted Tiverton RFC next season.

Tiverton-based lock forward Skelding will be reunited with former Plymouth Albion team-mate Wayne Sprangle on the coaching team at Coronation Field, headed up by Martin Oxland. Heard returns to Tiverton following two terms at Barum.

Devon's oldest rugby club Tiverton have just clinched promotion to Western Counties West as runners-up to Cornwall & Devon League champions Exeter University RFC.

Tomorrow Tiverton host Hayle in their final home league fixture of the season.
