MILLBROOK’S resilience was again tested to the full at Langsford Park on Saturday – and they came through with flying colours.

Brook trailed 1-0 to a 10^th minute Josh Grant strike and two minutes later keeper Sam Borthwick broke his left wrist keeping out a fiercely struck Grant penalty.

It is a measure of how far Milbrook have come that they made a Southern League side fight tooth and nail for victory at Jenkins Park.

The Brook, enjoying their first season in the Western League premier division, played their part in an enthralling FA Cup replay, the outcome of which was up in the air until the final whistle.

This proved a fixture too far for Millbrook after a hectic week as impressive Tavistock ran out comfortable Western Prem winners at Jenkins Park.

Josh Grant’s 33^rd minute goal ended the home side’s resistance and although they enjoyed a period of pressure in the early part of the second half, they were made to pay for failing to find an equaliser.
