Hundreds of volunteers will be visiting their cricket clubs this weekend to take part in NatWest CricketForce 2013.

NatWest CricketForce is an England and Wales Cricket Board volunteering initiative aimed at rejuvenating cricket facilities throughout England and Wales.

NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give suppoort their local cricket club by volunteering to undertake renovation work in club houses and grounds, typically over a specific weekend before the season starts.

Most clubs use this (designated) weekend to spruce up, Spring clean. Others have started early – did I see January 12, Grampound Road CC? – others may begin next weekend.

Last pre-season a record number of 1,938 clubs took part in the annual initiative.

This pre-season – this weekend - that record figure is expected to be smashed.

May the force be with you...
