CLUB CRICKET Saints just ahead of Truro on run-in

Cornwall Cricket League choughSt Just Cricket Club remain 10 points clear of second placed Truro CC and 16 points ahead of Penzance CC with two games remaining in the final week of the 2017 Cornwall Cricket League.

It could not be more exciting as the top two clash at Truro on the final day of the season, next Saturday.

Today there‚Äôs also a traditional Bank Holiday Premier programme with leaders St Just visiting Grampound Road CC while Truro are at Redruth.

On Saturday the top three all won.

St Just (102-3) beat Hayle (98) by seven wickets while Truro (284-6) beat Helston (153) by 131 runs.

Werrington (204-8) lost to Penzance (206-4) by six wickets.

Redruth (155) beat St Austell (103) by 52 runs while Falmouth (222) beat Grampound Road (113) by 109 runs.

County Division 1 Wadebridge CC remain 17 points ahead of Camborne CC after the top two had big wins. 

Wadebridge (375-8) beat Gorran (64) while Camborne (256-9) beat Troon (140).

Rosudgeon (129) lost to Ludgvan (130-8).

Callington (207) beat Lanhydrock (137).

Roche (149-9) beat Newquay (101).

St Minver (225-7) beat Werrington seconds (105).
