CORNISH CRICKET Snell steers Paul to cup final

In last night's first Vinter Cup semi final at Hayle, Paul beat Camborne by six wickets with an over to spare.

After a good start Camborne were pegged back to end on 127 for 7 with skipper Dan Stephens making 22.

Paul were steered to victory by 25-year-old skipper Kelvin Snell, the Truro-born Cornwall county player made 61 before he was bowled with the scores level.

Charlie Goldsworthy made 28.

The second semi-final is scheduled for tonight with Crofty Holman playing Falmouth at Redruth (1800).

Should the weather intervene Thursday is the reserve night.

The final is set to be at Camborne next Wednesday.
