Grampound Road through to Village Cup semi-finals

Cornwall's Grampound Road are through to the national Village Cup semi-finals, following in the footsteps of Troon and Werrington in the past.

Rain just before the start of Road's quarter-final with Hook & Newham Basics meant a delay of over five hours before an eight-over game was able to be played.

Road made 69-6 and superb bowling saw them dismiss the Hampshire side for only 30 in the final over. Home skipper Dave Neville conceded just one run in his two overs. Kent’s Leeds Broomfield will visit Grampound Road in the semi-final on Sunday July 30.
