Truro regained top spot in the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier Cricket League despite starting yesterday's play in fourth spot.
Incredibly, with three games remaining, six points cover the top five teams.
Truro made 219 at home to Grampound Road who were bowled out for 156 with eight balls remaining.
Callington are a point behind after the weather ruined their top of the table home clash against St Just, with more than half the overs lost following a four hour delayed start. St Just made 141-5 and Callington replied with 103-5. The drawn game saw St Just score just 10 points and Callington three.
A dramatic finish saw Paul defeat Werrington by two wickets off the last ball of the match. Werrington made 187-8 and Paul replied with 188-8 after requiring six off the last over.
Elsewhere St Austell made 243-8 and Falmouth replied with 191-8 to draw the game.
Newquay won only their second game after making 140 at Troon who were bowled out for 133 in the final over.
Martin Jenkin's unbeaten County Division 1 leaders Camborne claimed their 18th win of the season at Wadebridge and need one more win to clinch the title.
The results were: Camborne 258-5 beat Wadebridge 171 all out
Beacon 243-9 beat Penzance 94 all out
Gorran 205-9 lost to Redruth 207-6
