COUNTIES CRICKET XI begin European defence

National Counties XI, who are again representing England in the Euros of cricket, won the competition for the second time in three seasons last October and as defending champions they were given a bye to the Championship Week, the final week of the competition which began on September 23.
After the match against Spain (11.45am local time) National Counties will face Scotland on Tuesday at 4.30pm.
They will face Spain for a second time on Wednesday at 9.45am and Germany at 2.30pm.
On Thursday National Counties will face Germany again at 11.45am and a qualifier, yet to be decided at 4.30pm.
The second match against Scotland is on Friday at 11.45am with the re-match with the qualifier to conclude the group programme at 4.30pm.
The final group placings will determine the schedule for Finals Day on Saturday.
