IVYBRIDGE TOWN FC Peninsula fixtures updates

PERSISTENT rain during the week caused the postponement of Ivybridge Town’s South West Peninsula League visit to Teignmouth.

Ivybridge officials received a call at around 0930 on Saturday morning to confirm the Premier East fixture had fallen victim to the weather as Teignmouth's Coombe Valley pitch was waterlogged.

The match has been rearranged for Thursday April 27 and will now be Ivybridge’s final fixture of the season.

The Premier East programme was decimated with seven of Saturday's eight scheduled fixtures falling foul of the wet weather.

Weather permitting, Ivybridge have two further away matches this week with visits to Bovey Tracey (1930ko) on Tuesday and Elburton Villa on Good Friday at 11.

The next home match for Ivybridge will be against second-placed Okehampton on Saturday April 15, although there will be cup action at Erme Valley on Wednesday April 12 when Ivybridge host the Walter C Parson League Cup semi-final between Liskeard Athletic and Newton Abbot Spurs (1930ko).
