Truro City extended their impressive National League South run to 11 matches following a 2-2 comeback draw at Hayes & Yeading United.
Recalled City stalwart Jake Ash completed Truro’s turnaround heading home in the last minute of normal time before four minutes of stoppage time as City swept back up to sixth.
Earlier Hayes’ new loan signings Omari Alexander Salmon, from Barnsley, and Matt Jay, from Exeter City, had given the home side a two-goal first half lead.
Salmon scored in the 27th minute and 19-year-old City striker Jay marked his Hayes’ debut with a 37th minute goal.
Substitute Les Afful made it 2-1 in the 73rd minute before Ash powered home a header from sub Danny Barrow’s deep cross to the back stick 17 minutes later.
City boss Steve Tully said: “The three substitutes – Les, Danny and Issac Vassell – made the impact we wanted and, at the end of the day, all of the difference.
“Les scored within a couple of minutes going on, Vass was pushing for a start anyway and again made a real nuisance of himself with his pace and power and Danny crossed for Ashy’s goal.
“In the end sheer determination from Ashy – who powered his header home - and the boys got us the goal we deserved, and another point.
“It was important we took something from the game, given how well the boys played."
