The decision was made at 1000 following an inspection of the waterlogged pitch at Donnacroft Fields.
The announcement came in time to prevent the Ivybridge squad from making a wasted journey to North Devon.
Ivybridge manager Darren Stewart gave his players a day off rather than opting for a training session. He explained: “We had a match at Torpoint during the week and we have a big game coming up on Tuesday evening.”
Tomorrow the fifth placed Ivies are set to host fourth placed Brixham, weather-permitting (1930ko).
Tim Porter's Fishermen won their opening 10 league games before back to back defeats, 3-2 home to Newton Spurs last midweek and 2-0 at Torpoint on Saturday.
Curtis Damerell scored both goals for Torpoint - who beat Ivybridge 3-1 last Tuesday at the Mill and have now cemented third spot in the East division.
Dean Cardew's East Cornwall gold and blacks are the top form team in the division.
Torpoint's next game? Table-topping Okehampton Argyle at the Mill next Saturday.
Okehampton will be seeking to bounce back following a 2-0 home defeat by Axminster Town.
Plymouth derby tomorrow night as Elburton Villa - whose game at Honiton was also a weekend wash-out - set to host Plymouth Marjon at Haye Road (1930ko).
All weather-permitting.
