Goals from Josh Johnson and Josh Toulson in the opening 20 minutes put the Brook in charge and although Bridgwater pulled a goal back through Jack Taylor, Sean Thomson sealed victory with a stunning stoppage time goal.
Brown said: “For us, the lads need to decide now whether that is enough. Are we just satisfied with the result on Saturday and can take a few weeks off like we did after a similar game at Mousehole a while back?
“Or are we ready to go again next week after setting the standards on Saturday?
“If we are able to perform like that every week then we’ll continue to pick up points, but that’s on us.”
This was Millbrook’s fourth successive win after going seven games without a victory and was arguably their best performance of the season against a strong Bridgwater side.
Brown said: “There have been times this season where I’ve been very critical of ourselves but full credit to the lads, they were absolutely magnificent.
“We’ve pulled that performance out of the bag a few times so far this season, a performance with real belief and desire, but one step at a time, we enjoy Saturday for what it was and that’s three points against a team unbeaten at the top of the league.
“I think we were good value for it, there were so many top performances across the pitch and that’s what you need at this level to win games.
“The front two (Johnson and Toulson) were electric and their movement caused a lot of issues early on and that gave us a deserved 2-0 lead.
“I think it’s probably the first time we’ve partnered them as a pair, and that’s where we are, still working out different combinations across the pitch.
“But we had 15 serious individual performances and that’s what you need against top of the league.”
Brown praised Thomson for his late goal. He said: “He finished it off beautifully. I think even Reg Jenkins was looking down and screaming to take it into the corner, but Thommo sees the game in a different way, he’s all about risk and with that you get those magical moments like that.”
He added: “There’s no getting away from it, Bridgwater are an excellent side, they’ve started the season brilliantly and they battered us up there when we weren’t at it, so we showed them the respect they deserved, but no more than that.
“We had to defend well as a team and I think we limited their chances, at times we had a bit of luck when the ball bounced our way but we also had quality when it mattered.
“I saw Pearsey’s post-match interview and I know he was a little critical of our celebrations after the third goal which is fair enough, but we aren’t Bridgwater, we’ve not won 13 league games this season.
“We are Millbrook, a few weeks ago we were in the middle of seven defeats on the spin, we generally have four or five teenagers starting for us most weeks and we are growing and learning as a team so we enjoy every single point that we earn and boy do we earn them.
“We celebrated in the same manner at Welton last week and for us it doesn’t matter whether you’re top or bottom, if we are picking up points we are enjoying it because we know how much we have to put into each game to get them.”
