Dale are managed by popular former Argyle central defender Keith Hill.
Former Oldham Athletic AFC and Morecambe FC forward Alessandra, 26, was born in Heywood, only four miles south west of Rochdale.
Exeter City FC are set to play Premier League AFC Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly on Saturday July 18 (1500).
Yeovil Town FC host AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday July 28 (1945).

Poole Town FC have signed former AFC Bournemouth, Swindon Town and Torquay United striker Alan Connell, 32, who was at Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville last term.

Hugely popular former Torquay United target man Tim Sills, 35 was recently appointed Matthews' player-assistant manager for next season.
Meanwhile ambitious Wessex Premier side Salisbury kick off their pre-season programme away to Swindon Supermarine FC on Tuesday July 7 before playing host to League Two Bristol Rovers FC on Saturday July 11.
Promotion-winning Rovers boss Darrell Clarke, 37, was a midfielder, player-manager and manager in a seven-year spell at Salisbury.
