Truro City boss Lee Hodges is grounded despite the White Tigers roaring up to National League South fourth spot on the back of four wins in a row.
City supporters are in seventh heaven following a 7-2 win over Whitehawk.
Hodges said: “To win four in a row at this level is a bit special but you need Lady Luck to play her part.
“We had to defend like you wouldn’t believe at Havant and ended up getting a 2-1 win with a late Cody Cooke goal. We probably didn’t deserve to win that one but before this run we got beaten three in a row and didn’t deserve that either.
“The great thing is that we took time on putting together a squad that Chris Todd and I thought could compete at this level and would also work their socks off.
“Everyone has played their part.
"Sometimes substitutes can have an impact but ours have been winning games for us.
“Bottom line is no-one is getting carried away, we are delighted with the boys but we have another tough game coming up against Chippenham at home on Tuesday. We will have to work hard again because Bath beat us 2-1 here and they beat Bath 5-2.”
Noah Keats (3) Tyler Harvey, Cody Cooke and Alex Hartridge scored for Truro, who also claimed an own goal.
Chippenham lost 3-0 at third placed Dartford, Poole Town lost 2-0 at Welling and Gloucester City were beaten 1-0 at home by second placed Havant.
Nathaniel Jarvis scored Bath City’s 72nd minute winner at second from bottom Concord Rangers.
Weston-super-Mare’s Rapai Irnti scored an 82nd minute leveller in the Seagulls 1-1 draw at leaders Chelmsford.
Managerless Torquay United drew goalles with Wrexham at Plainmoor to remain bottom of the National League.
